Plan Your 2025 Motorhome Adventures: Explore Pelerine Campsite with the Freedom of a Towacar

It’s a Monday, the beginning of another working week, it’s also January and the middle of winter! The weather is very windy with showers, the days are still short but we are over the worst of the short days and looking forward to the first days of spring and the longer days. Now is the time to plan out your trips away for the coming season which is only 6 weeks away!
It seems’ a lifetime since the autumn but with our recent mild winters, and the snowdrops and the early spring flowers already out it’s time to plan your adventures for 2025.
Where will you go in your motorhome? Is this the year to go wild camping? Or stick to the multitude of camp sites that are everywhere? Whichever you choose, those of us who are fortunate to have a tow car have a much improved experience. If it’s as simple as just getting food and supplies with the car on the back you just get to your destination, unhook the Towacar and simply find a village or town to shop in, you’re not restricted to shopping in only places you can park your motorhome, or having to think about what food to take and doing your shopping in advance, just hop into your Towacar, and off you go...
So where will you head this season, allow us to suggest a lovely campsite, Pelerine in Newent. Pelerine is situated on a site that was an old market garden, it has two distinct parts one area for families and one for those who want just want a bit peace and quiet, prices are very reasonable as well. The site is run by Gail, who will do her best to make your stay enjoyable and somewhat uniquely openly invites you to have a camp fire and provides fire pits, Gail also has fuel available at a small cost.
Pelerine is located around 3 miles round trip from the Village of Newent and within easy reach of Ledbury, Ross on Wye and Gloucester. If you’re looking for a different experience why not take a trip to the Three Choirs Vineyard which is on the way to Ledbury and just a 6 mile round trip away. The Three Choirs Vineyard has a selection of award winning local wines produced from grapes that they grow in the vineyard, there is also a small cafe on site where you can not only sample the wines, but get also a light meal. A Towacar opens up so much more opportunities for your motorhome adventures, and Pelerine is typical of those campsites that are close to lots to see and do, but just a little too far unless you have a tow car.
